Learning of his quest to participate in the London paralymics, she later mentioned it to
Rival and they quickly responded with a Rival back pack filled
with training gear for Adam. Beachmum met Adam at Springfield "Waterworks" prior to training to
deliver his Rival pack. - May 2007. [ more... ]
The past...
Hi my name is Adam Gallagher I am a 29 year old paraplegic from Brisbane. I had an accident skydiving in June 2004 which crushed my L1 and T 12 vertebrae. I had an operation 2 days later involving lamination of my spine.
I was in the spinal unit for just over 3 ½ Months and received lots of treatment afterwards with hydro therapy, physio etc. In February 2006 I had further surgery to give extra support to spine and had another long hospital stay with recovery as well.
I was quite a strong swimmer all through school and it was recommended to me by my physio to get into the pool again to not only enhance my physical fitness but to give my spine stability. I have been training again for just over 12 months with both my fitness and endurance increasing in this time.
The future...
I am looking at competing at upcoming events not only here in Brisbane and South-East Queensland but there are a few short course championships in Melbourne coming up in August- September which iam going to strive to get to with my times.
I am hoping to get not only the times required for these events but to be successful in the races. Once I have got the history of winning and good times then it will enable me to keep in contact with the coach for the Paralympics.
I am going to be striving to be selected for the paralympics in London 2012. With the strong will and determination ive had so far to overcome my accident iam sure that I will be able to succeed in this quest for gold.
Running Bare
Multi functional...
Running Bare is based around key items such as crop tops, singlets, tights and co-ordinates
with an increasing influence of outerwear styles such as T-shirts, shorts and tracksuits. This creates a lifestyle
range that is function oriented while at the same time, appeals to the leisure market. The key to Running Bare's

Giggling Gossip
The Spank fan
A lady was looking at the Spank range of swimwear and was asking why they aren't cheap. While beachmum was explaining the differences a man walks by overhearing the conversation, stops and says:
"SPANK is the best swimwear.. I've had mine for 10 years...".
He then proceeeded to unzip his pants and points to the Spank logo on his briefs. Turns to beachmum and apologizes as he doesn't think he'll be back for another 10 years and walked off zipping up saying "Spank is the best..!"
EOS/07 Feedback
2006/07 Season's summary
"You said it..."
Summer provided us with more valuable information about our customers. More colour, product awareness, chlorine resistance,
fibres, practical functional attributes of the design, fit, comfort, contouring and support are common factors that rate highly when chosing swimwear.
"A tough crowd..."
The Brisbane public is very swimwear savvy, they are tough critics, expect good value and know what they want when it comes to swimwear.
Customer satisfaction is high, we've had no complaints about our products and we owe a lot of thanks to our Australian suppliers for their quality and support.
"Consumers in the know..." Those who train know what they want and often need a mix of performance and durability.
Students and children need flexibility between home, club and school. Mums often need time trying on to find a garment best fits and suits their needs. Dads, as always are easy to please.
